Yesterday, students had the opportunity to end the first quarter by presenting a piece of research they worked on all quarter. During our unit on ecosystems, students picked an animal or plant that interested them. Then, they came up with an "I Wonder" about that particular animal or plant. Students spent time researching, using various sources, in order to find the answer to their wonder question. After finding their answer, they looked for other interesting facts about their topic of research. Students then drafted and typed an informative paragraph about their findings. Additionally, they created a portrait of their animal or plant with Ms. Mary Lou. Together, the portrait and informative paragraph formed a fabulous piece of work that students were very proud about creating. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event happen! If you didn't get a chance to be there, here are a few photos from yesterday!
